To many people, calculus can seem like an intimidating subject. While high school students often have the chance to take it before graduating, it’s typically regarded as an advanced, college-level course.
Calculus is a requirement for most math-oriented college majors, including economics, computer science, engineering and more. By extension, this makes it necessary for anyone looking to pursue a career in fields like finance, data analysis, civil engineering and many others. Most medical career paths will also require at least a semester of calculus.
Many people choose not to pursue these kinds of jobs at least partially because of calculus. It can be a difficult course, and past or current struggles with math might make you doubt your ability to succeed.
Our goal is to re-frame your view of calculus and your ability to do well with it.
Even if you’ve had trouble with mathematical subjects in the past, we believe we can do more than improve your performance and engagement in class. We’ll help you become confident and interested enough in calculus to put in as much effort as needed to do well and explore how you can apply what you’ve learned in the real world later on.
